Series of Incidents
Since the onset of the large-scale conflict in Ukraine, a string of Russian military officials have been attacked within Moscow.
This most recent event follows other high-profile incidents, such as:
- General Yaroslav Moskalik was lost his life in a car bomb attack in Moscow earlier this year.
- General Igor Kirillov perished in late 2024 when a device concealed on a scooter was detonated remotely.
While a informant previously linked Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such claims are not formally acknowledged as a matter of standard practice.
The conflict has witnessed shadowy operations reaching into the heart of the Russian capital.
The examination into General Sarvarov's death is still ongoing.
