The Initial Game Pass Titles of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for the green team. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites are now publishing content about PlayStation as a new development. Last year proved to be complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. But if we're going solely off what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft remains determined to attract subscribers with strong games on its key platform.
The Available Now Titles
The two games that are immediately available as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass soon that's truly noteworthy.
Major Titles on the Horizon
On Jan. 13, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that refreshes the standard Ubisoft formula with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of horror and action."
Compelling Indie Titles
However, the more modest titles arriving shortly on the service are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Robust Selection of Games
In summary, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service by themselves. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of old games you might have missed and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — which makes them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
